Ingredients
- 3 cups sifted flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- ¾ cup shorting
- 2 cups milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites stiffly beaten
Instructions
- Separate egg yolks from egg whites.
- Beat whites until stiff.
- To the yolks, add all remaining ingredients.
- After well blended, gently fold in the egg whites.
- Cook in a hot waffle iron till golden brown.
- Makes about 5 - 6' waffles.
