AVK WAFFLES
 
Ingredients
  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup shorting
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 egg whites stiffly beaten
Instructions
  1. Separate egg yolks from egg whites.
  2. Beat whites until stiff.
  3. To the yolks, add all remaining ingredients.
  4. After well blended, gently fold in the egg whites.
  5. Cook in a hot waffle iron till golden brown.
  6. Makes about 5 - 6' waffles.
