SWEET AND SOUR MEAT BALLS

Ingredients
  • 1½ lbs. ground beef, formed into 1" balls
  • ¾ c. oil
  • Batter:
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ⅛ tsp. pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Sauce:
  • 3 sliced green peppers
  • 1½ c chicken broth (May use boullion)
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Accent
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • ¾ c. sugar
  • 6 slices pineapple, diced
  • ¾ c. vinegar
Instructions
  1. Make batter from flour eggs, salt and pepper.
  2. Dip meatballs into batter.
  3. Fry in oil until brown. Remove meatballs from pan and drain excess oil.
  4. Cook chicken broth, peppers, and pineapple for 1 minute.
  5. Add other ingredients.
  6. Cook and stir constantly until it thickens.
  7. Add meatballs.
  8. Simmer 15 minutes.
