Ingredients
- 1 lb pinto beans
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 large onion
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 3 Tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 can tomato sauce
Instructions
- Soak pinto beans over night to soften.
- Cook slowly in the same water for 4 to 6 hours.
- Brown hamburger , garlic, onion, in the shortening.
- Add remaining ingredients and add to the beans.
- Simmer 30 minutes.
- Serve with crackers
