Ingredients
- Onion, diced thin
- 2 cups white vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp mustard seed
Instructions
- Slice 1 large onion into thin slices. Do this near an open flame, then you won't cry.
- Separate sliced into a glass bowl.
- Cover with boiling water.
- Let set 1 minute.
- Drain, then pack into jars.
Bring to a boil:
- Boil vinegar, salt and mustard seed.
- You may also add any spices you desire and/or onions to cover.
- Let cool.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
- Delicious in sandwiches.
